The Effect of Sleeve Gastrectomy and Omentoplasty on HOMA BETA Value and Islets of Langerhans in Rats with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

INTRODUCTION: WHO predicts an increase in the number of people with diabetes Indonesia from 8.4 million 2000 to around 21.3 2030. Another marker for measuring insulin resistance is homeostasis model assessment-insulin (HOMA-IR). Bariatric surgery most effective therapy patients both terms weight loss and improvement obesity-related diseases such as Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM).
